DIRECTORS’ MEETING

Meeting of the Directors of the Lynchburg Glass corporation was held in the office of the Plant, October 15th, 1924 at 11 A. M. with the following present:

N. D. Eller
J. William Gayner
J. D. Owen
C. M. Guggenheimer
R. C. Watts
W. H. Loyd

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

The President made a report on his Canadian trip and told of the contract closed with the Canadian General Electric Company, Limited, of Canada, giving them the exclusive control of our Insulators in that country.

He next made a full report on his investigation of the Battery Jar and Fruit Jar business and also on the Soda Bottle business. After a thorough discussion of these three lines, he recommended to the Board that the Company install equipment for the making of Fruit Jars and repair the present equipment for the making of Soft Drink Bottles, and keep in close touch with the Battery Jar situation with the object of taking this line up at a later date, if the prospects look good.

The Board unanimously adopted Mr. Eller's suggestion and instructed the officers to proceed with the installation of equipment for Fruit Jars and Soft Drink Bottles.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
